5 Kids Winter Wear Costumes that are IN this year!

Every time I step into the kids’ section of a clothing store, I’m taken over by the urge to buy every single piece of clothing around me because of their oh-so-adorable appeal. I had absolutely no idea about clothes for kids until I had my son. Now, I spare no effort to grab the trendiest clothes off the shelves for my son and daughter.

Each season brings with it an array of stunning clothes for kids. Winter offers the chance to try out coats and jackets in vogue. Contradictory to the regular woollen sweaters we used to wear back in the day, winter wear for kids has undergone a major revamp.

Here are my favourite picks from my kids’ winter wear closets:

1. Puffer Jackets

Puffer jackets are the best invention of recent times. They do away with the need to add extra layering for your kids during harsh winter conditions. Puffer jackets, as you can tell from the name, look puffy due to their quilted design. The puffy areas are filled with synthetic fibres that will no doubt keep your kid warm all day.

2. Faux Fur Coats

I’ve always been fascinated by faux mink coats worn by the likes of Versace and Gucci models. Not only did I get a stunning faux fur coat for myself, but also got one for my daughter too. The faux fur on coats keep you extra warm and eliminate the need to wear a scarf around your neck.

3. Bomber Jackets

Bomber jackets are one of my favourites when it comes to winter wear for kids. They are perfect for everyday wear when it’s not too cold outside and look casual. They go best with joggers to create a casual and cool look. You can pair it up with denim pants too.

4. Trench Coats

Trench coats – though plain and simple looking – create a bold fashion statement. The hype around trench coats is totally worth it because they are stylish and warm. While boys and girls can wear them with pants, girls can wear them over dresses and skirts too.

5. Sweaters

Just when I thought regular round-neck woollen sweaters will slowly die out, they made a comeback with cute add-ons. I get my kids to wear these sweaters with embellishments on days when I know they will be playing around or aren’t in the mood to handle a jacket or a coat. These sweaters look good and serve the purpose too.

If you’re not looking to revamp your child’s wardrobe, you can instead layer them up in two-three layers of woollens, jackets, and other extra accessories.

I love dressing up my kids. Winter is the time of the year I get to dress them up in nice boots, beanies, scarves, and gloves. Try some of these winter wear for kids styles and let me know how they turned out.
